| A 'How To' for Binds |
By adjusting your 'User.ini'-file it's possible to make a bind.
Binds are a sentence that you say in a game by simply pressing one single button, so you don't have to typ
it all over again
These binds can be placed in the 'User.ini'-file, that's placed in the System-folder of the game. If You
open the file and search for the part that says :
1=
2=
3=
etcetera
So if you want to say : "Hi All" when pressing '1'. Then you change that first line in:
1=say Hi All
Note : with the SAY-command everyone in the game sees it, If you wanna make a bind to say something against
your teammates use the TEAMSAY-command : 1=teamsay Hi Team!
It's also possible to make a taunt with these binds. The point is that every taunt has
it's own description/number. There is a list of all these taunts here
For example :
1=speech TAUNT 8
Taunt 8 is the 'Kiss My Ass'-taunt :-), so now your character screams out KISS MY ASS everytime you press '1'
It's also possible to do the both things at the same time with just a single bind. If you seperate the two
things you want to happen with the piping symbol ' | (shift \)', like for example :
1=say Kiss My Ass ! | speech TAUNT 8
Now you say the line, and your character screams out 'Kiss My Ass!'
When you get the hang of it, you can do all kinds of binds with it :), this is also possible with every key on your
keyboard. But watch out : if you walk with for instance : A - W - S - D. Then don't make a bind on those keys.
Then you can't walk anymore :-)
